The Beginning of the Final Project. For the remainder of the quarter your final project will be the point of departure for your lessons. Pre production, production, post production.
The final project will be a 30 second commercial for a fictional transportation device. This may be from Literature, Film, Pop Culture, or Imagination (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Burning Man Cars, Cartoons).

Please bring 5 concept sketches with 10 pieces of reference for each concept to class. Concepts for vehicles will be developed and refined. Concept development for commercials will begin.

week 7: refine vehicle concept - begin commercial concept
homework pt 1: finish vehicle design, create character/object sheet with front, side, back, & top views.
homework pt 2: create 1st draft of commercial & create 1st draft storyboard.
week 8: Storyboard, keyframes and animatic.
homework: Create style frame & finish animatic
week 9: Animate
homework: Animate
week 10: Animate & begin post production - edit, add sound.
homework: Finish Animation, add sound & vo
week 11: Final presentation & critique
